Drone Project
ArmSAT is working on developing both hardware and software systems for a drone.
Drone will be used to photograph the whole area of Armenia in order to get NDVI (natural density vegetation index) and NDWI (natural density water index). This will help MES (Ministry of Emergency Situations) to know what parts have the risk of wildfires. The main work done on a hardware will be developing a payload. When working on the software, our team will develop a system to process the data of indexes.
While working on the project our team should clarify some points in order to accomplish the mission. The points are
- Parameters of the drone (weight, volume, maximum velocity, maximum time of the flight and its height, the maximum distance of remote control)
- What the time intervals should be between taking the pictures
- Should the team or MES calculate the data processed from the drone
